Summary
With the launch of its campaign “SPIN2030 – Agenda für die Wissenschaft,“ the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism (Sächsisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft, Kultur und Tourismus) is setting the course for the strategic development of science and education in the Free State of Saxony up to the year 2030. On February 3, Science Minister Sebastian Gemkow will present the agenda for Saxony as a “state of science” for the first time in public. Saxony’s Minister-President Michael Kretschmer and various members of the state’s scientific community will also be in attendance.
The event will be followed by a science fair open to the general public where ct.qmat scientists will set up a gaming lounge to demonstrate the award-winning app “Kitty Q – A Quantum Adventure“. At the heart of the escape game, developed for children aged eleven and upwards, are more than twenty puzzles based on scientific facts from quantum physics. It was designed with the aim of making scientific content accessible and sparking the young target audience’s interest in physics.
